Wild Atlantic Way Tour
12 Day / 11 Night Tour of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way
We will bring You on a private guided tour on the parts of the Wild Atlantic Way where you will see some of the best locations, including the Cliffs of Moher, Ring of Kerry, Dingle Peninsula, Killarney National Park and Gap of Dunloe, Blarney and Kinsale, Galway and Connemara, Westport ,Donegal and Derry/Londonderry.
Itinerary
DAY 1
Arrive in Shannon Airport
Visit the Cliffs of Moher on the West Coast of County Clare, Ireland’s most visited outdoor location. From there we can travel south along the Wild Atlantic Way travelling through the towns and villages of Liscannor, Milltown Malbay, Quilty, Doonbeg, Kilkee and Kilrush. We will then cross the Shannon Estuary by car ferry and visit the market town of Listowel and drive through the heart of North Kerry and onto your accommodation in Killarney Town.

DAY 2
Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head Tour
This is a full day touring some of Ireland’s best coastal scenery along part of the Wild Atlantic Way, we will travel around Slea Head where you will see the Blasket Islands and visit the Blasket Information Centre* (if you wish). We will also stop in Dingle town where you can avail of some late lunch and take time to explore this quaint little fishing town and port at your leisure, and then return to your accommodation in Killarney.

DAY 3
The Ring of Kerry Tour
This is a full day touring some of Irelands Wild Atlantic Way with views of Irelands highest mountain range the McGillycuddy’s Reeks and also se some magnificent coastal scenery, we can also travel onto the Skellig Ring where you will have the opportunity to visit the Skellig information Centre and View the Skellig Islands from the mainland. We will continue through Waterville and onto Sneem and Molls Gap and stop at Ladies View for breathtaking views of Killarney Lakes and Mountains in Killarney National Park. We can stop and view Torc Waterfall or visit Muckross House before we return to your accommodation in Killarney Town.

DAY 4
Killarney National Park and Gap of Dunloe Tour
This is a day out where you will go to Ross Castle after viewing the Castle you will take a Boat Trip and travel 7 miles through the world famous Lakes of Killarney we will disembark at Lord Brandon’s Cottage where you can avail of some light refreshments, you will then hike a 7 mile trek through the famous Gap of Dunloe valley, if you wish you can hire a Horse Drawn Carriage Ride*, the views in the hike are as they were thousands of years ago unspoilt, at the end of the walk you will arrive at Kate Kearney’s Cottage where you can avail of a drink or refreshments. You will be then transported back to you accommodation in Killarney.
DAY 1
Arrive in Shannon Airport

Killarney National Park and Gap of Dunloe Tour

DAY 5
Blarney and Kinsale Tour
This is another full day tour where we will go to Blarney in County Cork where You will be able to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone or visit the Gardens you will also be able to visit Blarney Woollen Mills for some shopping or have some lunch there.
From Blarney we will travel onto Kinsale where we can visit the 911 Memorial Garden or visit Charles Fort, and also have some free time to wander the little streets of the Town of Kinsale.
We will then return to your accommodation in Killarney Town.

DAY 6
Killarney to Galway
We will leave Killarney and travel to Galway stopping in the Picturesque village of Adare from there we will travel onto Bunratty where you see Bunratty Castle and you will have the option of visiting Bunratty Folk Park. We will then travel onto Galway where you will check into your accommodation for a two night stay, you will have some time to experience the Shop Street and Quay street area famous for its Pubs and Restaurants.

DAY 7
Tour of Connemara
We will travel from Galway to Connemara along the Coastal Wild Atlantic Way route Connemara is a “Gaeltacht” meaning that Irish is the spoken language we will drive along the coast and stop in the little fishing village of Roundstone for a break from there we will continue to Clifden, location of the landing place of the Alcock and Brown’s first Trans Atlantic Flight and then onto Kylemore Abbey for lunch where you will have the the option of visiting the 19th century Kylemore Abbey, little Gothic church and Gardens*. From there we will return to your accommodation in Galway.

DAY 8
Galway to Donegal
Northward bound today we leave Galway and head to Donegal we travel to Leenane in west Galway and onto Westport in west Mayo from where we travel onto Castlebar and visit the Museum of Country Life, from there we will make our way to Donegal and you will check into your accommodation for three nights. Donegal town is a relaxing town in Irelands north west with excellent Pubs and Restaurants.
DAY 9
Slieve League Cliffs and Coastal Donegal
Today we take the coastal route to Killybegs (Ireland’s largest fishing port) and onto Slieve League cliffs where you can view the cliffs. From there we will travel onto Ardara where we can have some lunch from there we will take the coastal and scenic road through Dungloe and onto Kincaslough. We will then return to Donegal.

DAY 10
Derry/Londonderry and Glenveagh National Park Tour
Today we travel to Derry/Londonderry we cross the international border into the United Kingdom at Lifford we travel to Derry/Londonderry where we can walk the historic “Walls” this is the only walled town or City in the Island of Ireland. We will also see some of the flashpoints of the recent Troubles in Northern Ireland. We will then return to Republic of Ireland through Letterkenny and onto Glenveagh National Park where you can have a late lunch and an option of visiting Glenveagh Castle* from there we will return to your accommodation in Donegal Town.

DAY 11
Donegal to Shannon
Today we will depart Donegal and head south we will stop at the picturesque village of Mullaghmore from where we will travel onto Drumcliffe and visit the resting place of the Irish poet William Butler Yeats, “Cast a cold eye on life, on death, horseman pass by.” We will then travel to the Shannon area to your Accommodation.

DAY 12
Depart
Today we will transfer you from your accommodation to Shannon Airport for your Flight Home. Or alternatively if you are a small group or staying close to the Airport you can dispense with your Driver Guide at the end of Day 11 and get local transport to the Airport on Day 12.
