12-day Ireland Tour

This is a 12 Day / 11 night all-Ireland tour where you will see Ireland's most interesting sites.

Itinerary

DAY 1
You will arrive in Dublin Airport early morning. We will collect You and we will travel to Glendalough, “The Valley of the Two Lakes”, a monastic site in Co. Wicklow. We will travel from there to Belfast City where you can check-in early to your accommodation. You will have free time for a rest or experience some shopping in Belfast City Centre.

DAY 2
We will have a morning tour of Belfast including the Falls Road, the Shankill Road, Peace Line, Murals, Crumlin Road where you can have lunch at the Crumlin Road Jail, which is now a museum. After lunch we can visit the Titanic Centre*. Overnight Belfast.

DAY 3
Leaving Belfast we will drive the glens of Antrim coastal route along the east coast of Antrim. We will arrive at Bushmills where we will stop at the site of the Giants Causeway You will have free time to visit the Causeway. From there we will make our way to Donegal Town and overnight there for 3 nights..

DAY 4
Derry/Londonderry and Glenveigh National Park Tour
Today we travel to Derry/Londonderry where we can walk the historic “Walls” this is the only walled town or city in the island of Ireland. We will also see some of the flashpoints of the recent Troubles in Northern Ireland. We will then return to county Donegal via Letterkenny and onto Glenveagh National Park where you can have a late lunch and an option of visiting Glenveagh Castle from there we will return to your accommodation in Donegal town.

DAY 1

DAY 2
We will have a morning tour of Belfast including the Falls Road, the Shankill Road, Peace Line, Murals, Crumlin Road where you can have lunch at the now closed Crumlin Road Jail. After lunch we will visit the Titanic Centre, Belfast Docks. Overnight Belfast.

DAY 3
Leaving Belfast we will drive the glens of Antrim coastal route along the east coast of Antrim. DAY 4

DAY 5
Slieve League Cliffs and Coastal Donegal
Today we take the coastal route to Killybegs (Ireland’s largest fishing port) and onto Slieve League Cliffs where you can view the Cliffs, from there we will travel onto Ardara where we can have some lunch. Afterwards, we will take the coastal and scenic road through Dungloe and onto Kincaslough. We will then return to Donegal.

DAY 6
Donegal to Galway
Today we depart Donegal and travel to Galway City. We will stop in Drumcliffe en route and visit the resting place of the Irish poet William Butler Yeats, and also visit The Irish Museum of Country Life at Castlebar, Co. Mayo. We will arrive in Galway in the evening where you will check into your accommodation and then have time to explore the shops, pubs and restaurants of this exciting city.

DAY 7
Tour of Connemara
We will travel from Galway to Connemara along the Coastal Wild Atlantic Way route. Connemara is a “Gaeltacht” meaning that Irish is the spoken language. We will dribve along the coast and stop in the little fishing village of Roundstone for a break. From there we will continue to Clifden, the location of the landing place of the Alcock and Brown’s first Trans Atlantic Flight and then onto Kylemore Abbey for lunch where you will have the the option of visiting the abbey, small Gothic church and the Victorian Walled Gardens*.

DAY 8
Galway to Killarney
Today we leave Galway and make our way to Killarney for 4 nights. We take the coastal and drive through The Burren and visit the Cliffs of Moher en route, where we can have lunch locally. We can also stop in the beautiful village of Adare, where you will be able to ramble around this heritage village before heading to the south west and arriving in Killarney in the evening and overnight there for 4 nights.

DAY 9
Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head Tour
This is a full day touring some of Irelands best coastal scenery along part of the Wild Atlantic Way, we will travel around Slea Head where you will see the Blasket Islands and visit the Blasket Information Centre* if you wish we will also stop in Dingle Town where you can avail of some late Lunch and take time to explore this little fishing town and port at your leisure, and then return to your accommodation in Killarney.

DAY 10
The Ring of Kerry Tour
This is a full day touring some of Irelands Wild Atlantic Way with views of Ireland’s highest mountain range the McGillycuddy’s Reeks and also se some magnificent coastal scenery, we can also travel onto the Skellig Ring where you will have the opportunity to visit the Skellig information Centre and View the Skellig Islands from the mainland. We will continue through Waterville and onto Sneem and Molls Gap and stop at Ladies View for breathtaking views of the Killarney Lakes and Mountains in Killarney National Park. We can stop and view Torc Waterfall or visit Muckross House before we return to your accommodation in Killarney Town.

DAY 11
Blarney and Kinsale Tour
This is another full day tour where we will go to Blarney in County Cork where You will be able to visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone or visit the Gardens you will also be able to visit Blarney Woollen Mills for some shopping or have some lunch there. From Blarney we will travel onto Kinsale where we can visit the 911 Memorial Garden or visit Charles Fort, and also have some free time to wander the little streets of the Town of Kinsale. We will then return to your accommodation in Killarney Town.

DAY 12
Killarney to Dublin
Today we will travel to Dublin and en route we will stop in the town of Cashel in County Tipperary where you can visit the Rock of Cashel* if you wish. We can have lunch locally and then travel onto Dublin City. Now you will say goodbye to your driver guide who will advise you you of what’s best to do in Dublin before departing on your morning flight back home (or further time in Dublin on your own).
