Day Tour
This tour brings you from County Kerry through a beautiful part of County Cork, the Beara Peninsula, which is less travelled than the Ring of Kerry or the Dingle Peninsula.
We will travel to the picturesque town of Kenmare – Neidín – in the Gaelic language meaning the Little Nest, which is situated between the Iveragh (Ring of Kerry) Peninsula and the Beara Peninsula. We will then travel west on the northern side of Beara where we can stop at Killmacalogue Pier, in this beautiful part of rural Kerry.
Our tour continues over the Healy Pass and into County Cork joining the southern coast of the peninsula at Adrigole, and onto Glengarriff. Here you will have the opportunity of having some lunch. You will also have the option of taking a boat trip out to Garnish Island and visit the famous gardens on the island*. It is only a short boat trip out to Garnish Island with beautiful views of the harbour en route.
From Glengarriff we travel over the Caha Pass and stopping at Molly Gallivan’s Cottage where you can experience what life was like in rural Ireland in the late 1800’s.
We will then return to the town of Kenmare and onto Molls Gap where we will join the Ring of Kerry route towards Killarney. We can stop at Ladies View for magnificent views of the Upper and Middle Lakes of Killarney with their mountain backdrop above the Killarney Valley.
